PERSIAN EIC PATTERN FLINTLOCK CAVALRY PISTOL CIRCA 1820’S. 15” o/a with 9” round smoothbore .60 cal. barrel with partial oval arsenal stamp at breech. Lock plate with oval maker stamp forward of hammer with Farsi characters within. Typical East India Co. style pistol produced under British supervision at the Qajar Royal facilities at Isfahan and Tabriz. Excellent for it’s type and 100% original. Lock in perfect working order. With all the original parts in fine condition. (See Tirri’s “Islamic Weapons/Maghrib to Moghul” pp. 200-201).
