Description:
This is a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight rifle in .264 Winchester Magnum. The serial number dates to 1962. The 24 inch barrel has had a muzzle brake installed. The folding leaf rear sight and hooded front bead on a ramp are still present. Condition is Excellent with some nicks in the finish on the right side near the muzzle. The bore is bright and shiny. The action is in Excellent condition with light wear on the bolt knob. The floorplate and trigger guard show some light handling. The checkered walnut stock has a Monte Carlo butt and a red Winchester ventilated recoil pad with a white line spacer. Condition is Very Good with some handling evident, particularly on the butt stock. This rifle has been equipped with a Leupold 4x12 Vari-X II scope with an adjustable objective in a one piece Buehler mount that is included in the price of the rifle. The scope and mounts will not be removed and the rifle repriced without them.
