Description:
For sale is one L.C. Smith double barrel 12 gauge shotgun manufactured in 1913. This shotgun is serial number 216939. The barrels are 30" and marked Royal Steel and the flats of the receiver are marked FIELD E. The barrels are tightly choked, but I cannot say exactly what the choke is officially. The right receiver flat is marked 216939 TE. The receiver sides are engraved with a bird hunting scene on the right and a trap house and trap shooters on the left side. There have been two minor professional repairs on the buttstock. The buttstock is nicely figured and checkered walnut with 1 1/2" of drop at the comb, 2 1/8" of drop at the heel and a 13 1/2" length of pull. The safety is selective between manual and automatic. The bores are bright except at the throats of the barrels. There is a "ding" on each barrel that is not visible on the interior.
