Description:
.50 rimfire, caliber, 20" round barrel, single shot bolt action breechloading mechanism with external hammer.  Walnut stock bearing the U.S. inspector's cartouche and the "mm" initials.   The barrel showing an even brown color with smooth surfaces and crisp stampings.  The lock and hammer showing mottles case colors mixing with a pleasing plum brown finish.  Fine wood with various  handling marks and a visible cartouche.  Good  bore.  Very scarce with only 1001 mfg. This was  the first U.S. bolt action fixed metallic cartridge rifle.
