Description:
These exquisite .31 cal replica cap and ball silver plated engraved revolvers (circa 1830's-1840's) were custom built in the 1950's with Colt parts in the US and numbered 1 and 2 on the base of the butt plate and the Colt sequential numbers on the barrel of 9258 and 9259. They were purchased by The Western Museum in Kiel, Germany in the 60's where the ivory grips were scrimshawed by the owner of the museum. The museum closed in 1979 and these beautiful revolvers were purchased from the Museum and kept in a private collection until now. They come with a glass fronted velvet case.
