COLD WAR Walther P-1 German BUNDESWEHR Pistol
Dated December 1982 Prior to Destruction of Berlin Wall
Here we present a very nice German Bundeswehr Walther P-1 Pistol, made in December of 1982 in Zella-Melhis, Germany. The P38 was designed by Walther to replace the Luger P08 as the standard service weapon for the Third Reich’s Wermacht. After Germany’s World War II defeat, the P38 was revised in several ways, the most significant of which was the aluminum alloy frame to replace the formerly steel frame. Renamed the P-1, it continued in service until the early 1990s.
The overall condition is very good. The Parkerizing on the slide is virtually complete. The anodizing on the frame is 95%. The markings are clear and legible. There are import markings on the right side of the frame. The original hard plastic grips are in very good shape. The bore is sharp and bright. The action is excellent.
This firearm is classified as modern handgun.
