Description:
The Colt Commercial "Ace" was made from 1931 to 1941 and 1947, with almost 11,000 manufactured (Serial Range 1 to 10935). These pistols were similar to the Government Model, except these 1911's were fitted with a 4 3/4 inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, checkered walnut grips, blue finished only, and were chambered in .22 LR. rather than .45 ACP. This first year production "Ace" is as described and is in excellent orignal un-touched condition. It retains 98% of its original blue finish, with thinning at the muzzle, some sharp edges of the receiver and slide, and on the front strap. The grips are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks and sharp checkering. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly. The magazine is in mint condition and all screw heads are un-molested. This "Ace" has obviously been fired very little and would make a fantastic addition to any gun collection.
