This is a very neat rifle. This is a factory heavy barrel (Varmint profile) Ruger Model 77 rifle chambered in the hot and fast .22-250 cartridge complete with a variable power Weaver Challenger scope in factory Ruger rings. This Model 77 is a tang safety model, a desired feature on this model. According to the serial number this Model 77 left the Ruger factory in 1987. This rifle has been carried and handled and as a result has some dings and dents in the stock, but overall it is in very good shape. The original factory blue gloss finish looks great and rates a solid 97%. The trigger guard and floorplate are alloy and have the gloss black finish. That gloss black finish has a few minor marks in it but still looks very attractive. The bore in this rifle is minty. It is bright with no pitting or erosion and the rifling still looks nice and sharp. The stock is 100% solid and is free from cracks or repairs. It came from the factory with the red Ruger recoil pad and the Ruger Eagle pistol grip cap. This rifle comes with a period Weaver Challenger 3 to 9 power scope mounted on Ruger factory rings. The optics are still crystal clear and the adjustments for windage and elevation work perfectly. This rifle is probably a very accurate package and would make a nice addition to any rifle collection.
