Rare collectible Sheriff's model for sale. Chambered in 45 Colt with 4" barrel. This is an ejectorless model from the intermediate black powder period (1876-1890). This revolver is lettered and originally shipped to E.C. Meacham Arms Co. in St. Louis, Missouri on May 1, 1888. Approximately 1,500 ejectorless models were produced by Colt.
This revolver still retains some of the original blue finish on the barrel, cylinder and upper portion of the backstrap. Your opportunity to own consecutive serial numbered Sheriff's models is out there somewhere as S/N 123311 is an identical to the subject. You just need to find it.
