Payment Types Accepted: Paypal, Cashier's Check Description: Sale pending****************DWM 1920 Military/Police Luger 9mm VET BRING BACK Story on the gun, written by previous owner: 1920 DWM Police Luger WW2 capture # 9949 These pistoles incorporated an extra safety on the top of the sear, something exclusively required by Police units. Pistoles made for the interim German government were reallocated when the NSDAP took power. This particular example had the original prewar issued unit stamp on the hand strap removed as was the custom. Whom ever intrusted with that task just didn't do the best job which was quite unfortunate. "I acquired this Luger from a vet's family who had passed a year before. This was a vet bring back and the soldier was tasked with clearing a town in Southern Germany near the close of the war. He was surprised by an enemy soldier who fired the Luger at him. The vet returned fire and dispatched his opponent. He then took the Luger and possessed it until his death in 1996. It has been in my collection since then." This is an outstanding and all original, matching numbers (except mag) example of a DWM 1920 Military Luger. It's a 9mm with three "dove" stamps on reciever and dated 1920. All numbers match excluding mag. Grips are unnumbered which is appropriate for this time period. The bluing is original and outstanding. The biggest negative of this gun is the original prewar unit stamp was removed likely by the gentleman this was captured from. The mag is a wood base from the time period and unnumbered. The bore looks looks very good. The holster is optional for an additional $200. It is dated 1916 and is in overall good condition. There is an original WW1 Iron Cross attached to the flap. Gun price reduced to $1,100 3/5/18. If Please ask questions if you have any! SOLD Caliber Info: 9mm |
