J. Stevens Single Shot Tip Up rifle in 22LR. Vintage late 1870 - early 1880's (first available in the 1875 Stevens Catalog) rifle is original and grades Fair with some factory nickel finish remaining on the receiver. Octagon Barrel has much of its blue finish and measures 24" long with total length at 38". Ornate trigger guard and cresent butt plate. Screw crack in butt stock. Missing the extractor assembly. A very heavy rifle with a massive barrel. Bore is gray with pitting but still shows visible rifling. You don't see many of these around any more.
