.52 cal, #12276, 26 inch heavy octagon barrel, barrel number does not match the rifle's number, blue finish, double set triggers, original sights, engraving covers lock/receiver/patch box cover/ lever/lower tang, beautiful burl wood in stock, circa 1850's.
Condition: heavy sharp rifling with black powder oxidation in grooves, Barrel retains 60% blue thinning and turning plum, excellent sharp New York style engraving with stag on left side of block and boar on the patch box cover, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
