Description:
This is a Smith & Wesson .38/44 Outdoorsman revolver in .38 Special. The serial number dates to 1937. This model was built on the N frame and designed to accept high pressure loads that were used by law enforcement in the 1930s and has has an adjustable rear sight with a Patridge front sight. The barrel is 6 1/2 inches. This example has a ribbed combat trigger and a checkered combat hammer in the laid back style. The finish is in Excellent conditioin. Markings are crisp. The bore is bright and shiny. The original grips have been replaced with Pachmayr Presentatiion grips.
