Description:
Winchester Model 1892 Sporting Rifle with Takedown Feature, .32/20wcf., Extra fancy walnut Stock. The serial number of this example is very good with the Barrel and Magazine tube retaining 20=20% of the original untouched factory finish. The bore is above average for a small caliber Winchester of that era. The rifling is strong with shine from breech to muzzle. I will rate the bore an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. The receiver has retained approx. 50% of its original factory blue with "Fire Blue" remaining on the loading gate. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The takedown feature is tight functioning perfectly. The stock is "Extra Fancy Walnut" consistent with what you would find on a Takedown of that era. This is an Antique that can be shipped anywhere in the lower 48 without any license. Cody Museum Letter will be included.
