Description:
This beautiful investment grade rifle was purchased some years ago from an older gentleman who stated that he had ordered it from the Director of Civilian Marksmanship program in the early 1960s. It was obviously never issued, and according to the previous owner was fired "2 or 3" times and then put away. This outstanding, fully original specimen has a few handling marks from being on the planet for 75 years, but has very few if any signs of actual use. The wood is UNSANDED, and all inspector's marks are crisp and clear and guaranteed to be genuine. The rifle was apparently shipped from the Raritan Arsenal and is so marked. The metal surfaces are all correct and original, and again, show only minimal handling marks or signs of use. The excellentsling is from the same time period as the rifle, and is of the correct "flat buckle" type. The gentleman I obtained the rifle from added a front sight hood, which is of the correct type, but is not quite as nice as the rest of the rifle. I will leave it to the new owner to address that issue if he should so choose. As with all my offerings, your absolute satisfaction is guaranteed. There is a 3-day, non-firing, no disassembly inspection period - no questons asked. All items must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped - no exceptions.
