Here's a real precision U.S. military target rifle that I never knew existed.
The condition is outstanding, it appears to have seen very little mechanical use. The left muzzle edge for about a 5/8 " and the tip of the bolt handle have some very slight surface pinpricks. The rest of the gun is just about factory new. It retains at the very least 94-95% of the original factory blue.
The left side of the receiver is stamped with the U.S. Ordinance Bomb and U.S Property. The gun is fitted with a very fine competition type windage and elevation rear sight and a hooded front sight which is slotted to receive a large variety of reticles.
The gun also has a set of factory installed Redfield type scope blocks. The walnut target stock has one very slight surface pressure mark the balance is in brand new condition. Not nick or a chip anywhere. It is also equipped with a special competition Stevens "X Ring" barrel. The bolt rails and interior feed system show very little use.
The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling with no sign of frost. The gun comes with one correct 5 shot magazine and an original WWII Army sling. It is a real "X" blaster on the range and a lovely. for over the fireplace....$495.
