Description:
This Ansley Fox Sterlingworth is the perfect 16 bore upland and fun clays gun. Restocked in XXX Black walnut in the 1980's, it remains in wonderful shape. Lovingly used all these years with fine results. It weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces with 28 inch barrels. The metal is excellent, as are the bores, screws and mechanics. The wood has superb grain structure and is in fine condition. The LOP is 14 1/4 inches to a period buttplate. The DAC and DAH are a very shootable 1 1/2 x 2 3/8 inches. It has initials on the grip cap insert that can be polished off and reingraved or you can get a new insert. The forend is a nicely shaped beavertail that allows a great grip and control. It's choked .007 in the right barrel and .011 in the left--IC and LM. Ideal for game and clays. The chambers are original 2.5 inches. It has twin ivory sights. The toplever is to the right and it's readty for another 100 years of service. You'd be hard pressed to get the stock and forend today for the selling price of the gun and the price includes insured shippng lower 48.
