The Ruger No.1 Tropical is a legendary rifle known for both it's simple and beautiful lines and it's rock solid build and accuracy. These Ruger big-bore single shot rifles have taken large and dangerous game here in the States and all over the world. This Ruger No.1 Tropical rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum has a beautiful custom made French Walnut stock set. It is serial number 132-81273, making it's original date of manufacture 1988. The rifle is in excellent condition overall with only some very small handling marks. The previous owner since it was bought new shot it a total of maybe ten times. The original factory gloss blue finish rates a solid 98%. The bore is minty and bright. The rifling has sharp lands and grooves and there is no pitting or erosion. The custom French Walnut stock set has a beautifully checkered pistol grip and forearm and is in excellent shape as well. It is free from cracks or repairs, shows only tiny handling marks, and is nicely fit to the rifle. As you can see from the pictures, it has a silver pistol grip cap with ".458" engraved on it and a Pachmayer "Old English" black recoil pad fitted to the butt. It has a length of pull of 14.25 inches to the end of the pad. The action on this No.1 Tropical is tight and smooth when operated. This Ruger is 100% functional like the day it left the factory.
