Description:
This is a very nice Winchester Pre 64 Model 70 in .270 Win. The rifle was made in 1948. The blue steel looks like it has been reblued but was done correctly with a matte receiver and a salt blue barrel, trigger guard and floor plate. The marking are all still crisp and clear. The only way you can tell the metal was redone is a blue muzzle. The walnut stock has been refinished and the checkering recut to factory new. There is a touch wood darkening at the butt plate but nothing bad. The checkered steel butt plate has also been reblued. Whoever refinished this rifle know what they were doing and did a fine job. This will be a great rifle to collect or hunt with.
