Antique Smith & Wesson .38 Double Action Revolver
Late 19th Century .38 S&W Top Break Revolver
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson Double Action Revolver in .38 S&W, made in the late 19th century in Springfield, Massachusetts. This would have been a nice gun to wear in a small belt holster for self-defense.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces bear 75% of the original nickel finish. Blued trigger guard. Case colors are faint on the trigger and hammer. The markings are clear and legible. The original grips are hard rubber and in good condition with some good, honest wear. The Smith and Wesson emblem can be seen at the top of the grips on both sides. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is nonfunctioning. The hammer will go back with a trigger pull but will not drop.
