Description:
Gold miner's ring, commissioned and custom-made by Molberg, a Cripple Creek jeweler, for Elma (Bud) Farula, a Hungarian immigrant miner, from gold he had mined. 14kt yellow, rose, and white multi-diamond ring. Laying across the top of a pile of natural gold nuggets, in the center of the ring, is one yellow gold pick and one rose gold shovel. Set in the shovel is one single cut diamond melee, having an approximate weight of .02 carat. Set close to each end of the ring is one round brilliant cut diamond. One of the diamonds has an approximate weight of .50 carat, a clarity of VS1, and a color range of G-H. The other diamond has an approximate weight of .54 carat, a clarity of VS, and a color range of G-H. The gold work around each of these diamonds gives them a pear shape look. Beads set around the top of the ring are eighteen old mine cut diamond melee, having an approximate total weight of 1.04 carat, a clarity of VS2, to SI1 and a color range of G-H-I. The design on the sides of the ring are of leaves, grapes and flowers, with a heavy brush around them. The top of the ring measures approximately 28mm x 17.2mm.
