Description:
Springfield 1842 musket in overall very good condition Lockplate has good markings of eagle over U.S.and Springfield 1850. Barrel has smooth aged brown finnish with expected pitting at breech and bolster with good proof markings of V P eagle head. Tang date is faint but there. Butt plate is smooth and free of pitting with good U.S. Hammer and trigger work well. Stock is very good without any cracks but no visible cartouche. Good original ramrod. This gun is 100% original and complete and displays well. If your looking for a civil war musket at a good price this is it.
