Description:
The S&W Model No.2 Army Tip-Up was made from 1861 to 1874 in serial number range 1-77155. The 6-shot tip-up revolvers were fitted with either a 4, 5, 6, or 8 inch octagon barrel, smooth rosewood grips, spur trigger, blue finish, and were chambered in .32 Rim Fire. This revolover is as described and is fitted with a 6 inch barrel. It is in excellent original condition, retaining 90% of its original finish, with most thinnning on the bottom of the frame and assorted surface scratches due to poor cleaning. The bore is bright and the action functions perfectly with a like new lock-up. The hinged barrel to frame fit is the tightest I have ever seen in one of these tip-up S&W's, with absolutely no slack/rattle. The wood grips retain most all of their original finish with assorted very minor handling marks. An extremely nice example of its type.
