Miniature 1860 Colt Revolver
Description:
I am the original owner of this 1:2.125 scale 1860 Army Colt revolver-Presidential Edition, as issued by the United States Historical Society in the 1987. Created by Italian miniature firearms artisan, Uberti, under license from the Colt factory. Ornamentally hand engraved in the style of the time. The frame, hammer, rammer, and loading lever are case hardened. The remaining metal parts are charcol blue. The trigger guard and forward stock strap are plated in gold. The one piece grip is pre-ban elephant ivory. The ivory grip has some natural markings on the right side near the trigger guard. The cylinder is engraved with a naval battle scene, but I personally cannot determine what the etchings are. The serial number 12, is stamped into at least 3 locations on the gun. Complete with the original glass topped cherry display case, beautifully lined in red velvet. Also includes original certificate of authenticity and letter from the factory. This piece has been minamally handled and has been kept well oiled. This is a beautiful example of this series and its value is enhanced by its low serial number. Free 2nd day insured shipping.
