I am the original owner of this extravagant, hard to find #114 Colt Army miniature revolver. Created in Italy by miniature firearms artisan Uberti, for the United States Historical Society and under licence from the Colt factory. The entire piece is plated in silver and gold. Even the screws are plated in gold. Stocks are pre-ban, etched elephant ivory. Exquisitley hand eched in american scroll over a large part of the pistol. Serial #114 was the first etched example of the Colt Army and was on display at the Centenial Exhibition in 1876. The actual serial number of this pistol is "13" and is stamped just below the cylinder pin. This is a faithful reproduction of the original #114 and is in mint condition except for a tiny pit in the gold plating on the cylinder. I attempted to capture it in a photo, but it is very difficult to see. The pit can be rotated out of sight. Included is the original glass topped, cherry display case lined in beautiful hunter-green velvet. Also included are the original certificate of authenticity and letter from the factory.
