Here we present a Jules Kaufmann Bull-Dog Style Revolver. This six-shot revolver was a direct copy of the Forehand & Wadsworth design. Jules Kaufmann’s makers mark is located on the left side of the frame. Belgian proof marks can be found throughout, especially on the frame and back of the cylinder. This would have been a good pocket revolver, complete with a lanyard ring for something like a watch-chain. Caliber is about .380 and probably utilized a semi-rimmed cartridge.
The overall condition of this revolver is very good. This revolver has been re-nickeled and retains 98%. The markings are clear. The wood grips are in fair condition, showing some wear. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is functioning, but the trigger return spring is weak.
