Description:
Fox Sterlingworth 20 Gauge Shotgun
Priced Affordably!

General Specs: Fox, Year 1925, 20 Gauge, 6lbs, SxS
Serial Number: 257605

Most will agree the Fox Sterlingworth 20ga. is the best value for a gauge vintage American double in today's marketplace.  Built on a tiny 20ga. frame (therefore lighter than like guns from Parker, L.C. Smith, or Ithaca), dynamically balanced, and this one weighing just 6lbs, the Sterlingworth is still an affordable field and clays gun with the handling and shooting characteristics of a much more expensive gun.  This particular Sterlingworth, sn257605 from 1925, is a Philly gun built with great care for wood to metal fit, checkering, and overall fit and finish.  The most desirable 28” number 3 weight barrels are choked SK/LM, perfect for your north woods, pheasants over dogs, or that favorite sporting clays. The gun has been well cared for over the last 93 years, with mirror bores, excellent screws, and perfect mechanics.  Priced affordably, it is a great bird or clays gun and will function flawlessly as you enjoy carrying a piece of American history.  Most Sterlingworths have excessive drop at heel and comb, but this one is quite reasonable and shootable for most average American shooters.  If you like a "pretty gun", this one has been fully restored sometime in the past and it is quite an attractive little Fox.  The Fox 20ga. Sterlingworth continues to go up in value and this one is ready for another 100 years of service.  Thanks for looking!
