Description:
Super clean Model 61...A post-war rifle with pre-war quality fit and finish. Marked for 22 S,L,LR, the 24" barrel has a beautiful, crisp, clean, shiny bore and chamber. there are a few minor handling marks from having been in and out of the safe over the last sixty years, but you gotta look close. Receiver has a few pin-prick size spots located under the ejection port, and a few more on the top, to the right of the proof stamp (these look worse in the pics than in person.) Balance of wood and metal finish appears flawless. No signs of after-factory indiscretions like sanding or additional varnish. Action interior looks as clean as the outside, but has some mild dried-up oil/residue. Rifle has been sitting for quite some time, and could use a good detail clean/oil. Superb example of the Model 61, and priced to sell! #944xx made in 1948. CA sale OK, C&R OK. Call or email for more info.
