Description:
Post war Model 99R in excellent condition. Boss code 3E, made in 1953. Looks like its spent most of its life in a safe, carefully preserved. Gunsmith just went thru it for a clean and lube due to super-dried-up oil; has matching numbers, crack-free wood, near flawless blueing and wood finish. Checkering is nice and crisp, and free of clogging and dirt build-up. 24" barrel has a beautiful, crisp, clean shiny bore and chamber, and the bolt face shows this has been shot very little. Lever case colors are still very nice, with just a bit of muting on the exposed surfaces. Correct swivel studs, perfect screw slots, beautiful sights... Overall an excellent example, with only the most minor handling marks/nicks, and priced to sell! CA sales OK, C&R OK.
