Nice example of the early American quality sidelock double barrel shotgun. W. Baker was involved in the development of the LC Smith and Parker guns. He also began Ithaca gun co. in NY. Beginning in the late 1800s, Sold out o H D Folsom in 1919 and he produced the "Baker Line" till about '22. These Baker guns have been appreciating rapidly in the past few and JMHO are fully equal the top guns of the time in quality. $30.00 S&H to the FFL of choice. Repaired crack at wrist but all in all very sound. Small chip out at toe. Perfect bores .689 and .698 so full and extra full, lotsa case and blue. Good checkering and screws, Dependable hunting nostalgia double. Fluid steel! barrels. Harvested, KILLED, two gobblers in Ne last year 30 and 45 yds. The study of Baker Guns has been a fascinating journey. The Cody Museum has a large selection of these guns on display in the basement.
