Caesar Guerini has earned quite a reputation in the Sporting Clays and fine gun world with their varied offerings, all of them high quality and unmatched value. The Maxum is in the upper level of their offerings, with fine Turkish walnut stocks, deep relief Gothic Scroll style engraving that is actually “hand chased” by real master engravers, deeply blacked, highly polished barrels built on a monobloc and having chrome lined bores proofed for steel shot. This gun is their Maxum “SPORTING” model, designed to aggressively compete in the serious Sporting Clays circuit. What a great find in this gun, serial number 110733 built in 2006 but barely shot. The gun is tight as new on the hinge areas and locks up tight on face with the lever well right of center. There is not a mark in the gun on the wood or metal, and it shipped with the most popular 32” barrels and right-handed stock. The gun comes complete with the original Negrini case, all brochures, manuals, 7 screw-in Briley extended chokes, and the tools that came from the manufacturer. The previous owner paid to have a Jones Adjustable recoil mount with Kickeeze pad installed, and there is a set of Guerini barrel weights included as well. These guns retail for $7150 without the extra choke tubes, recoil pad, and weight system. Remember, this is a 100% gun with no marks or flaws, with the case and all accessories. It can be had at a much better price and will make somebody a fine clays or field gun. I get to see lots of high-end guns and this one measures up well at a very attractive price point.
