Sharps 1863 Conversion .50-70 caliber carbine..50-70 Caliber. Very fine gun with excellent original blue on the barrel case colors are present but have turned to a darker shade. Wood is excellent with the conversion cartouche. This gun has 3-groove rifling and bore is excellent. This is originally a Civil War issued percussion carbine that was sent back to the arsenal and converted to cartridge. Very fine gun!
