C&R Forehand Arms Top Break Revolver in .32 S&W

Here we present a Forehand Arms Co. Top Break 5-shot .32 S&W Revolver, made circa 1900 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The revolver was a small, well-built, self-defense weapon, ideal for conceal and carry in the opening decades of the tumultuous 20th Century. It was made by the sons-in-law of Ethan Allen, the successful firearms inventor and manufacturer from the 1830s. The top of the barrel reads “FOREHAND ARMS CO. WORCESTER MASS. U.S.A.”, followed by patent dates.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces have a brown finish. The markings are clear and legible. The wood grips are in very good condition showing very little wear. The bore is fair with good rifling. The action on this revolver is functional but cylinder turning is intermittent.
