Description:
This is an early Sharps Conversion .50/70 Model of 1863 "New Model" a survivor of both the Civil and Indian wars. The serial number of this example is C9916, probably manufactured in 1859-60. Overall condition is very good plus, above average for these Carbines. Mostly a very nice even patina with a very good above average bore. Strong rifling and shiny from breech to muzzle. Faint Cartouche remaines at the left wrist. The stock is free of any damage, you will see typical storage / handling marks.
