Liege Proofed European Double Action Revolver
Here we present an antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver, made in Liege circa 1870. Casimir Lefaucheux patented the pinfire cartridge in 1835 and son Eugene designed the pistol. The pinfire cartridge was one of the first successful self-contained cartridges in history, and the pistol saw prolific use in Europe during the 19th century, even being adopted by some militaries and police.
The overall condition is very good. The original nickel finish is 80%. Liege proof marks are clear. The grips are in great condition. The action on this revolver is excellent.
