Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Safety Automatic Double Action 5-shot Revolver with Custom Knuckle Attachment in .32 S&W, made circa the 1920s. Only about 6,000 were produced on a custom order basis. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense in the Roaring Twenties. 5 shots of .32 S&W plus a knuckle duster attachment made a formidable weapon!
The overall condition is very good. The original nickel finish is 90%. The blue finish on the trigger guard is about 40% with a bit of roughness that should clean up. The markings are clear and legible. The original hard rubber grips with the Iver Johnson trademark owl are in good condition, showing little wear. The bore is clean with sharp rifling.
