Krieghoff K80 has become the most popular competition gun in the United States. The receiver on the K80 is CNC machined from solid forged steel, then meticulously hand fit and finished by the best of German gunmakers. Krieghoff makes the K80 12ga. gun in many models, differing mostly in the amount of decoration, the action being the same on their least or most expensive guns. This Gold Super Scroll, sn24491 made in 1997, is a custom order gun that has 100% full coverage engraving with gold wire inlays and a special-order “gold broken target” top latch. This is a 4-gauge gun that would be equally at home on a skeet range or sporting clays course. There is a 28” twelve-gauge ported barrel with 8 screw-in chokes, a Krieghoff 28” carrier barrel and Briley Ultimate Ultralight sub-gauge tubes in 20, 28, and .410, each with screw-in skeet chokes. This set shows little use with 100% factory blue on the receiver, 98% factory blue on the barrels, and a little wear on the trigger guard showing 94% blue. The wood is above-average English walnut with 99% finish and no dings or cracks. The checkering is factory and shows no wear. The palm swell is on the left and right side, so it is an ambidextrous stock with a fully adjustable comb and what looks like a Morgan adjustable pad mount and a KickEeze gel type pad. This set is housed in an aluminum Americase marked with the Kolar tradename, but houses the set properly. Most already know that the carrier barrel is lightweight and to be used with the sub-gauge tubes only and allows all gauges to swing and weigh the same as the 12ga. standard barrel. The carrier barrel and sub-gauge tube set is a $5000 add-on ON THE USED GUN MARKET and makes this a very well-priced competition skeet and sporting gun that will allow you to compete with the best in all gauge events with the same gun. The Krieghoff Gold Super Scroll with the blued action and gold wire inlay is a very attractive gun, and this one is tight as new on the hinge trunnions and breech face like a new gun and has been shot very little. What a great deal on competition ready 4-gauge set! Thanks for looking.
