Description:
Western Field 724A EHM, Mauser - Mannlicher in .30-06. A great looking sporterized Mauser, Mannlicher styled rifle from the 1960s era. Manufactured in West Germany by Heym, and sold by Montgomery Wards under the brand name of Western Field, which was Monkey Wards brand name for most of their in house firearms. Features a 22" sporter barrel, commercial Mauser action with controlled round feed extractor, a hinged floor-plate, flip up safety and butterknife bolt handle, all mounted in a Mannlicher style hardwood stock. Manufacturer: 1960-70 era. S# 19546A.
Caliber Info: .30-06 Springfield.
Metal Condition: Excellent condition save for some wear to the finish of the metal forend cap.
Wood Condition: Very good condition save for some minor handling marks and small scratches.
Bore Condition: Excellent bore with strong rifling, lands and grooves. Look's to have been lightly fired.
Barrels: 22" sporter barrel.
Triggers: Typical Mauser trigger with a heavy pull and a 1/8" travel before letting off.
Stock: Mannlicher style hardwood stock. The grain is similar to walnut but is void of any brown coloration.

Fore End: The Mannlicher forend is tipped with a metal, schnabel cap.
Butt Pad: Serrated black plastic butt-plate.
