Description:
The Colt Commander (Pre-70 Series) was made from 1950 to 1969. The pistols were fitted with a 4 1/4 inch barrel, steel slide with fixed sights, alloy frame and main spring housing, and were chambered in 9mm, .38 Super, or .45 ACP. This 1952 vintage Commander is as described and is chambered in .38 Super. It is in excellent original condition, retaining 95-97% of its original finish, with most thinning on the sharp edges of the frame and slide, grip safety, and main spring housing. There is one small spot of corrosion on the left side of the slide, at the muzzle. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action is tight and functions perfectly. Comes with its original numbered to the gun box. Sorry, no paper-work. Rarely do you find these early Commanders chambered in .38 Super.
