Description:
This is a 2” barrel .32 S&W Long revolver numbered to .32 Hand Ejector series (serial no. 5505XX), not to Terrier series, which are drawn from Regulation Police series. See Supica and Nahas, Standard Catalog of S&W, p. 127 re pre-Model 30 (“...2” also observed”) in this serial range, which puts production ca. 1946. Five screw frame. Finish wear looks its age at maybe 70%. Lots of wear, especially at bottom of side plates, front and back straps, and butt. Bore is very good. Internals, timing and lockup all solid. Half moon front sight. Original grips, numbered to gun, darkened and smoothed a little with age. I bought this from a Texas dealer who reported it had belonged to a Houston Detective, but that’s all the provenance I have. Price includes shipping.
