All metal parts are smooth without pitting and most of the original finish with some age stains. All markings on the lockplate and breech are sharp. Bore is very good and breech is near fine. only flaw is an eighth inch cut at the end of barrel. Very good original cleaning rod. Civil War full stock is near fine with cartouche visible on left flat. On right side of stock is written F.A. Duhuch. This is the gun that was used in the1867 Red Clouds war at the wagon box fight near Fort Kearny, the hayfield fight at Fort C.F. Smith, and by the soldiers in the Powder River campaign.
