Lebeau Courally cant a Liege: A 12 Bore Pre-War 1932 Bar Action Holland System Sidelock Ejector Pigeon Gun "tir aux pigeons", Original 30" Ejector Chopper Lump Sir Joseph Whitworth's Fluid Compressed Steel barrels with a hidden third bite, .728 .031 & .042" (Imp.Mod. & Full), Original 2 3/4" chambers, Original bore size as proved in 1932, Wall thickness on the right & left barrel at .032", 1.449 KG weight barrels, Bushed strikers, Double triggers with the front articulated, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 9/16 x 1 3/8 x 1 5/8" over a checkered butt, 7/16" cast-off for the right hand, 7 lbs. 6 oz., All the screws engraved and some border by H. Leukers and he was known as a Belgian master engraver and was responsible for presenting twenty three engraving designs at the Paris exhibition of 1937, This gun remains 1932 original in every respect including the bores and chokes, The original barrel blue at 85%, The blue on the receiver & lockplates at 88%, The original stock at 70% with scattered handling marks but the buttstock & forend remain as solid as a rock, The checkering at 85%, The bores are excellent and totally free of any pits or blemishes, There is a very slight ding on the left barrel 7" from the muzzle that cannot be seen unless one looks from the muzzle, It remains tight and the barrels are smack on the face. This is the #1 gun of a pair with a Gold 1 inlaid on the toplever. This is an extremely well-built piece from the Golden Era between the great wars. The Lebeau-Courally is often mentioned as the "The Purdey Of Belgium."

In 2015 Lebeau Courally celebrated their 150th anniversary. This piece is a bit of history as Auguste Lebeau started the firm in 1865 and joined later with Ferdinand Courally.
