Description:
This original - 45-70 Trapdoor - Springfield Model 1873 rifle has been cut down. It has a round tapered 1" to 3/4" x 22-1/2" barrel fitted with an adjustable 1873 trapdoor rear sight and a blade front sight. The bore is in good condition with some light pits. The P grade Walnut stock is mounted with iron furniture. Stamped on the butt plate is US 178. The trapdoor breech block has been reblued with the date obliterated. Stamped on the lock plate is US Springfield and the spread eagle. The ramrod is missing. Over all length is 41-1/2", length of pull is 13-1/2" and weight is 7.2 Lbs. Good wood to metal fit - made by Springfield Armory. Condition: Good. Our stock number is A641. Will ship anywhere in the US, buyer pays freight and insurance.
