Description:
Best Quality bolt action rifle built on a pre-war DWM Mfg. Mauser action and chambered for .458 Win. Mag. Nicely figured walnut stock is light in color with lots of contrasting lines and has a Monte Carlo style cheekpiece, 14 1/8" LOP over a leather pad, and a blank gold oval, trap grip cap is case colored, single steel cross bolt is case colored and engraved. Bottom metal is marked “3 Cartridges” and serial number engraved on the trigger bow. Island rear sight with a standing Express sight marked “50/200” and one folding leaf regulated for 350 yards. Holland’s Patent Folding sight hood and single blade front sight and a barrel mounted sling swivel; barrel length is 25”. Receiver’s front ring is stippled and rifle has factory H&H mounts with 1" rings serial numbered to the rifle. Gun weighs 10 lbs. 6 oz. with mounts. Barrels shows “Holland & Holland 33 Bruton St. London” address and engraved between the barrel band and front sight is “1985 Sesquicentennial Rifle”, serial number is 40xx. A very nice shooting gun (pics of test targets avialbale) and it remains in 98% overall condition with only a few handling marks on the stock, metal is and bore are perfect.
