+++PRICE REDUCED from $1995+++ For Sale: Colt 1918 M1911 USGI Pistol that has been parkerized through some type of military rework facility. The rarity of this one is the fact that there are no arsenal rework markings AND it has the sought after "heart shaped" grip frame. Many hours of research has revealed that, indeed, many of the WWI pistols were reworked/refinished but did not receive an arsenal stamp. All small parts are a different shade of "park" because of the metal hardness difference. Magazine is typical war era replacement contractor version, slide stop is correct undercut design, Eagle inspection stamp correct for serial number range, H stamped on frame ahead of disconnector pin, flat MSH, double diamond grips with 15 rows of diamonds between, barrel is HS(probably a field or arsenal replacement) and stampings are in very good to excellent condition. An excellent example of a WWI firearm that has been refinished for continuous duty in the next several conflicts. Pistol has been disassembled, cleaned, tested and fired with excellent functionality. Also included is a set of WWII Keys plastic grip panels.
