Description:
Altered to percussion in caliber 52. It has the standard 32-1/2" bbl with 16 groove rifling. Receiver marked "US-S North-Middleton Conn 1831". This gun was factory altered to percussion using the Federal style percussion hammer. Overall metal looks to be in excellent plus condition and has been polished to a bright nickel metal coloration with some very minor pits around the breech area. Lighter markings on top of the receiver. Original wood has some very minor stress cracks on both sides of the receiver but is sound and solid. Mechanical condition is VG. It has the original sling swivels. The gun looks great having been polished heavily as a lot of them were when new.
