This 1760's French& Indian war Take Down carbine has a 37" Barrel in 78Cal. The hooked -breeched barrel has a slightly swamped muzzel and exhibits a spider based front sight similar to those found on trade gunds of the period. The lock is signed T. Pee;e who is listed as a London Gunsmisth on his 1756 marriage certificate ( copy will come with gun). The original tipped ramrod is still present! A nice rare additione to any F&I War / Rev. War collection. Overall lenght is 53" Uncommon, great color, great condition.
