Description:
Here is a very good Model 39 Marlin Star. It must have been a custom order because the stock is deluxe wood. The forearm shows some interesting grain but not as dramatic as the butt stock. The gun has custom sights. The receiver sight is a Marble 95L Adjustable Leaf. The front sight appears to be a Standard Front Sight with and ivory bead although I can’t find the Marble name. The tang sight is a Marble Flexible Joint M8. The action is tight and the bore sharp. I believe this gun dates to 1922 with a three-digit serial number with an S prefix. It is made for standard velocity .22 ammo. The only flaw is a small chip on the inner wall of the left side of the forearm that give the fore arm a slight wobble when pressed. It does not interfere with the accuracy or function.
