Description:
Best Quality Model De Luxe bolt action “Take Apart” rifle built on a pre-war DWM Mauser action and chambered in Winchester’s .458 Magnum. Highly figured walnut stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, wrap point checkering, and 14 1/8" LOP over a leather pad. The trap grip cap and single steel cross bolt are case colored and engraved, Bottom metal is engraved in deluxe scroll with “Model De Luxe” engraved in a banner and marked “3 Cartridges” with the serial number engraved on the trigger bow and finish in black. “SAFE” inlayed in gold on flag safety and a standard H&H stalking safety mounted on the receiver. Island rear sight with a single standing Express sight regulated for 100 yards and Holland’s Patent Folding sight hood and a barrel mounted sling swivel; barrel length is 25”. Receiver’s front ring is stippled and action has never been drilled and tapped and is set up for open sights only. Weighs 10 lbs. 15 oz. Barrels shows “Holland & Holland 13 Bruton St. London” address, serial number is 39xx (ca. late 1970’s). Despite being a “Take Apart” rifle, screws have been remarkably well guarded and show little sign, if any, of use. The rifle remains all original and remains in 97% to 98% overall w/ a perfect bore. No case.
