Description:
SALE PENDING
Browning Superposed pre-war Pigeon grade 12 gauge O/U shotgun.  One thing for certain on the early Pigeons like this one is that the quality of the engraving and the detail on the pigeons is spectacular!  This gun is “neatly” configured with 27 ½” solid rib barrels, having mirror perfect .725 bores and both bottom and top are choked .007” Skeet/Skeet; a middle bead was added.  Made in 1933 (third year of production) it has a single selective trigger, fast tapered field forearm and round knob stock with long tang.  The stock has a 14” LOP over a 1” Pachmayr presentation decelerator recoil pad; 1 5/8” DAC and 2 3/8” DAH with significant cast for a left hand shooter.  The wood, both stock and forearm have had cracks repaired and there was finish applied after both pieces were sanded.  Mechanically the gun functions well although with the forearm loosened the breech is slight off face with the action.  Barrels retain 98%+ reblued finish.  The gun weighs 6 lbs. 14 oz. and it will make a great upland bird gun as well and being a desirable collector piece.
